WELCOME
TO MOOLTRIKONA.
This web-site was built with the idea of sharing ideas regarding
the planetary energy that affects us as
individuals and the world at large. Vedic Astrology
clearly stands out as a very predictive and accurate tool.
The Systems Approach theory offers a clear
systematic way of comprehending Vedic Astrology
and has been seen by many who have studied the Systems Approach
to be more accurate in the analysis of
a birth chart and in its predictive abilities than
any other astrological system. The
founder of The Systems Approach, Professor V.K.Choudhry
has proven this beyond a doubt with such accurate results
from countless case studies and chart analysis. We
offer much appreciation to Mr. Choudhry for showing us the
way.
Mooltrikona
has been formed by John
Fyfe, President of IIPA (International Institute
for Predictive Astrology) in Canada and recipient
of the title "Jyotish Kovid".
A.F.
Dumont, Vedic Astrologer, also recipient of "Jyotish
Kovid" and follower of the System'
Approach has also contributed to this site.
This website will help people
with interpreting their vedic birth chart,
finding out what the planetary
obstacles are and how then to overcome
them. It will explain planetary energy, interpretation
of houses, ascending signs and much more.
Mooltrikona
will give weekly to monthly updates on the transits
of planets and how they will
affect the 12 ascending signs
and what signification these transits will have to each
individual ascendant. The impact of difficult transits
will be explained as well as welcoming
the benefic planets in transit.
For the beginner of Systems Approach it is
recommended to study in the continuing order which is as
follows:
A brief explanation on the difference between Vedic
and western astrology.
One of the main differences between Vedic
and western astrology are the
planetary periods or the dashas
that are used in Vedic astrology. The dashas
enable Vedic astrologers to have more
ability for prediction in the individuals chart.
The planetary periods truly give the astrologer
a great beneficial tool in deciphering
the birth chart.
There is a major discrepancy of the planets
in signs between the Eastern and the Western
chart that has become a major point of dispute
for chart analysis of the two zodiacs.
There is a 23 degree discrepancy
of where the planets are in the constellation.
Both zodiacs were of equal placement thousands of
years ago whereas tropical astrologers proceeded
to follow the planetary procession by calculation
on a chart or calendar without actually following
the daily procession of the planets as was done
in Vedic astrology. The calculation was
almost exact, off only about fifty
seconds by the year, but in the course of two
thousand years this has amounted to a twenty-three
degree discrepancy and this difference is what
we call the Ayanamsa. Therefore the Vedic
chart follows the exact placement of where
the planets are today but is approximately 23
degrees or 23 days behind that of the tropical chart.
This may lead to planets changing back to the previous
sign from where they were placed in the
western chart.
Nevertheless, the western transits still coincide
with either calculation if we take for example the transit
of Saturn opposite
Saturn in the signs of Taurus
and Scorpio. Retracting 23 degrees
from each point, the opposition is still in effect
but if the planets were at an earlier degree point
in their signs, say at 10 degrees, in Taurus and Scorpio,
then the signs would change to 17 degrees into
the preceding signs, Aries and
Libra.
