MALEFIC PLANET
For every rising sign, there
is a most malefic planet that
is considered to be the most damaging in
the birth chart. This is based
on mooltrikona signs in
the 8th or 12th
house. The eighth house is the first
to be considered as it is determined to be the most
malefic house. There must be a mooltrikona
sign in the house and if there
is not, then the twelfth house is considered
to be the most malefic house. The planet
that rules these houses becomes the most malefic
planet whether it be Jupiter
which is usually considered positive and benefic,
or Saturn who is known
to be malefic.
If there is no mooltrikona
sign in the eighth or twelfth house, then
Ketu becomes the most malefic
planet in the chart. If there are three mooltrikona
signs in the sixth, eighth and twelfth house,
then the planets ruling these signs become
malefic planets as well as Rahu and Ketu. The ruler
of the eighth house inherits the role of
the most malefic planet in the chart. The
other malefic planets will bring difficulties
and do harm other houses and planets, but
the most malefic planet is the planet that will cause
extreme damage.
Note: Rahu and Ketu are always malefic
to each of the twelve ascendants.
Aries Ascendant: MMP: Mercury
is the only malefic planet as its
mooltrikona sign Virgo
is positioned in the 6th
house. There is no Mooltrikona
in the 8th or the 12th, so Ketu
becomes the most malefic planet.
Taurus Ascendant MMP: Venus
is malefic having the mooltrikona
sign Libra positioned in the 6th
house. Jupiter is the most
malefic planet being ruler of
the 8th house with its mooltrikona
sign Sagittarius
placed there and Mars is malefic
having its mooltrikona
sign Aries in the 12th
house.
Gemini Ascendant MMP: Ketu
is the most malefic planet
as there is no mooltrikona
in the 8th or 12th house.
Rahu and Ketu are the
only malefic planets for Gemini.
Cancer Ascendant MMP: Jupiter
is a malefic planet having its mooltrikona
sign Sagittarius in the 6th
house. Saturn is the most
malefic planet being ruler of the 8th house.
Leo Ascendant MMP: There
is no mooltrikona
sign in the 6th or 8th house,
therefore Moon becomes the most
malefic planet being ruler of the 12th
house.
Virgo Ascendant MMP: Saturn
is a malefic planet having its mooltrikona
sign Aquarius in the
sixth house, Mars is the
most malefic planet being ruler of the
8th house with Aries positioned
there and Sun is a malefic planet
having its mooltrikona
sign Leo in the twelfth house.
Libra Ascendant MMP: Mercury
is the most malefic planet
as it is the ruler of the 12th house since
there is no mooltrikona
sign in the 6th and in the 8th.
Scorpio Ascendant MMP: Mars
is a malefic planet as it has its mooltrikona
sign Aries placed in the 6th house.
Venus is the most
malefic planet being ruler of the 12th
house as there is no mooltrikona
sign in the 8th house.
Sagittarius Ascendant MMP:
Moon is the most
malefic planet being ruler of the 8th house
with Cancer positioned
there. There are no mooltrikona signs in
the 6th or 12th house.
Capricorn Ascendant MMP:
Jupiter is a malefic planet
having its mooltrikona
sign in the 12th house. Sun
is the most malefic planet
being ruler of the 8th house with its mooltrikona
sign Leo placed there.
Aquarius Ascendant MMP: Moon
