DIVISIONAL CHARTS:
Planets that occupy their debilitation
in Navamsa and other divisional
charts weaken the planets in the Rashi or main chart.
The divisional charts are additional charts
that are mathematically calculated
based on the division of houses of the Rashi chart.
They are used for the specialized analysis
of a particular question such as an in depth study
of a person's vocation or an in depth study
of relationships and of one's general good
fortune.
The navamsa chart is used
for considering potential good fortune
and marriage and reflects the
ninth house in the
rashi chart. The dasamsa is the chart used
for considering the professional career in the horoscope,
reflecting the third
house. There are a total of sixteen
divisional charts that can be studied, twelve
of these representing each particular house.
To fully analyze the strength and weakness of the
planets, it is still crucial and
essential to review each planet in the
navamsa to see if the
planet falls into a sign that it rules, that is exalted
in, or that is debilitated in. If a planet is exhalted
in the main chart or rashi chart,
but is debilitated in the navamsa,
then it will lose planetary strength in
the main chart. Unfortunately the
same does not apply when a planet is debilitated in the
main chart (Rashi chart) and becomes exhalted in the navamsa.
Although it gives a boost to the planet in the main
chart and reduces any further weakness,
the planet still remains weak.
Therefore we must look at the planets in their
signs in the rashi chart and the navamsa
for final analysis of each planet's full strength and weaknesses.
The navamsa chart is also looked at for the determination
of one's future and how it will be for achievements and
growth as the person's life evolves. If the rashi
chart is good, but the navamsa is marred,
then one can expect great potential
from the main chart, but may have obstructions and difficulties
in fulfilling the potential based on the navamsa chart.
This is why the navamsa chart is given
such important consideration.
DEPOSITORSHIP, PLANETS OCCUPYING
MOOLATRIKONA SIGN OF WEAK PLANETS:
If a planet
is strong yet placed in a mooltrikona house where the planet
that owns that sign is weak, then the planet will not be
able to function with full strength as this weakens also
the planet through its association with a weak house.
For example if Jupiter sits in
the fifth house
in the sign of Libra, but Venus
is weak at 2% and is in close proximity
to the Sun and therefore combust,
then Jupiter will suffer some weakness
as it is in Venus's weak mooltrikona
sign.
Therefore the planet that is strong cannot function
as well as it should or as they are capable
of, if the ruler of that house is weak
and afflicted. The full potential
of the benefic planet may not be realized.
